I got my first dog in my life——a Japanese akita on January 31st, 2019.

Before bringing him home, I began a long search for what I considered the perfect dog collar. I looked online for quite a while, but eventually ended up buying a simple solid-color nylon webbing collar from PetSmart. It worked just fine, but I always wished for something a bit more fun and personal for everyday wear.

It wasn’t until I developed an interest in sewing machines that I realized I could actually make dog collars myself. What followed was an exciting, though sometimes exhausting, journey of learning new skills and sourcing materials. From nylon webbing to cotton fabrics, from sliders to D-rings, I tried as many options as I could to ensure I was working with the best materials I could find.

It took me nearly a year before I felt confident enough to upload my first listing. But every bit of the process was worth it.

I truly love how my handmade pieces turned out, and I hope they bring a smile to your face when you see them on your dog. :)
